Kemira Agro's horticultural unit is establishing a jv in India with Jain Irrigation Systems and Anika International to manufacture soluble nutrients. The new company, Jain Kemira Fertilisers, is aiming at an annual turnover of FM22m ($4m) and will employ 30 people. Owned 50% by Jain, 45% by Kemira and 5% by Anika, the venture will initially construct one soluble nutrient plant in Jalgaon, Maharashtra state, which will also produce water-soluble NPK fertilisers, a first for the company.
