As expected, Brown & Root has been chosen to provide technology for the PIC/UCC 650 000 tonne/year ethylene cracker planned for Kuwait (ECN 18 April). The complex will also include a 450 000 tonne/year PE unit and 360 000 tonne/year EG unit, both based on Union Carbide technologies. Onstream date is set for 1997.
