US pharma group Merck plans to sell its speciality chemical units, Kelco and Calgon Vestal Laboratories, in order to focus resources on its integrated pharmaceutical and pharmacy benefits management business. No details of the pricing behind the sales have been disclosed, although the two had combined sales of $400m. The units should be sold by the end of this year.
