Shell International Chemical Co and Shell Chemical in the US are in exclusive negotiations with Texaco to buy its worldwide lubricants additives business, along with respective technology and related marketing and sales activities. The business includes manufacturing facilities in Port Arthur, Texas, Ghent in Belgium, and in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The deal is conditional upon the satisfactory negotiation of sale and purchase agreements for the business, and approvals by each company and governmental agencies.
