Hoechst-Schering AgrEvo has acquired a formulating company in Korea, Misung Agrochemicals. The joint venture, in which Hoechst holds the 60% majority, said it will become the first multinational agrochemicals group to formulate directly in Southeast Asia rather than supplying only the active ingredient. Companies with a formulating licence can register and market their products directly, without a local partner.
