ICI AUSTRALIA'S plans for a 1380km, Aus$200m ($150m) ethane pipeline (ECN 13 June) have moved a step further with the signing of agreements on construction with the Commonwealth Government and contractors.
The pipeline will link Moomba in South Australia to ICI's ethylene plant in Botany, New South Wales.
The latest agreements include contracts signed with The Pipeline Authority, which will undertake construction, and East Australian Pipeline, the main sub-contractor. They follow recent contracts for sales of ethane from the Cooper Basin South Australia gas project which will feed the pipeline.
