Amid growing allegations of corruption in German business, BASF is investigating reports by the magazine Bild am Sonntag that an employee accepted a car as a bride from the German company Lagrange which has carried out DM2.5m/year ($1.8m) worth of heating and sanitation work at Ludwigshafen in recent years. Should an official investigation follow, said BASF, it would do its utmost to assist the enquiry.
