Enviromag agrees MHS plant

Enviromag, a jv between ICI Australia and Queensland Metals, has approved the construction of a Aus$3m ($3.8m) magnesium hydroxide slurry (MHS) plant in Melbourne, Australia. The 25 000 tonne/year plant will be located at ICI's Yarraville site and will be the country's first to produce MHS for environmental effluent control. Production is scheduled to start at the end of 1996.
