The Ministry of International Trade and Industry said industrial production in February rose by 2.6% on the previous month. Stronger than expected production of pharmaceuticals and electrical capacitors was the main factor in the increase. Miti estimates that production will rise by 0.8% from the last quarter of 1995 to Q1 this year.
