Showa licensing deal

Showa Denko will license its epichlorohydrin technology to Chinese epoxy resin producer Tianjin Bohai Chemical Industry. The process is claimed to use half the amount of chlorine of conventional methods. The Tianjin-based manufacturer is to build a 24 000 tonne/year epichlorohydrin plant, which is slated to begin operations in 1999.
