Linde wins contract

Linde Australia has won a contract to supply engineering services to BHP for the initial phase of a proposed ammonium nitrate plant at Moura in Central Queensland. BHP has selected Linde's Ammonia Concept process. Linde expects to win the full US$120m contract when the project gets the final go-ahead. The planned facility will produce 400 tonne/day (132 000 tonne/year) of ammonium nitrate. Production of ammonia and nitric acid is envisaged.
