LG Chemical is expecting current management rationalisation programmes to boost sales to Won4080bn (US$4.8bn) this year, up 17% from Won3464bn in 1996. The company intends to set aside US$1.1bn in 1997 to develop new businesses and build overseas production plants, including its PVC investment in Tianjin, ABS plant in Zhejiang and dioctyl phthalate plant in Vietnam.
