PX startup delayed

LG-Caltex Oil will delay the startup of its third 350 000 tonne/year paraxylene (PX) plant at Yeochon to 1998 or 1999 from mid-1997 due to the poor PX market, an official said. The company will carry out minor debottleneckings later. It now has 650 000 tonne/year of PX.
