AECI produces carbon fines from ash

South Africa's AECI has signed an agreement with Dutch engineering and contracting company Hoogovens Technical Services Energy and Environment (HTS E&E) to commence cost-effective production of pelletised carbon fines from high carbon ash using Carbonite technology.

The process is based upon technology developed by AECI Operational Services and HTS E&E and has economic, safety and environmental benefits by reducing waste and aiding waste clean-up.
