Over 800 items for small-scale industry

MORE than 800 items are reserved for production by the small-scale sector. These include rubber products; plastic products including PVC, PE film and sheet, PP film, polyurethane and PS foam; laboratory chemicals and raegents; wood preservatives; basic dyes; azo dyes; acid dyes; napthols; reactive dyes; fats-colour bases; natural essential oils; certain organic chemicals; drugs and drug intermediate; and some chemical products for household use. Small scale units contribute a significant percent age of total Indian production of chemicals, dyes, paints, drugs, and pesticides.
