Hoechst Global Basic and Thailand Petrochemicals are conducting a feasibility study into a 50:50 joint venture to produce a 70 000 tonne/year n-Butanol and 150 000 tonne/year 2-Ethylhexanol facility in Rayong. The two companies have been operating a joint production and marketing exercise over the past two decades.
