European PVC market leader EVC has agreed to buy Caprihans India for approximately Df128m ($14m) in the Dutch company's first step beyond Europe. Caprihans is the leading Indian maker of PVC films, with 25% of the local rigid film market and 15% of flexibles. The acquisition, to be completed in August, is part of EVC's strategy of geographic expansion in the Asia-Pacific region.
