Erdöchemie to produce 1,2-butadiene

Erdöchemie will start production of 1,2-butadiene during January 1998. The plant, located at Cologne, Germany, will have an initial capacity of 720 tonne/year. The new production unit will be sited downstream of an existing 1,3-butadiene plant.
