1998: open to Asia

THE East Asian Petrochemical Industry Conference will be opened to Asian players outside Japan, South Korea and Taiwan for the first time in 1998. The conference will be held on 21-22 May in Taipei, Taiwan.

The rules of the conference will be revised to allow other Asian countries 'whose petrochemical industries have shown remarkable growth to participate as full or associate member countries,' a joint statement said.
