BASF finishes its swap deal

BASF has completed the exchange of its container coatings business for PPG's worldwide surfactants operation (ECN 1 September 1997, page 4). Revenues from the two sets of swapped assets are worth about $150m. However, a PPG spokesman said the deal did include a cash transfer.
