Millennium creates titanium specs unit

HOUSTON (CNI)--Millennium Inorganic Chemicals announced Wednesday that it has created a speciality business unit to combine worldwide marketing of titanium tetrachloride produced in the US and France, along with other titanium speciality products manufactured in Thann, France.

The new organisation will be headed by Jim Hancocks, senior vice president and managing director for Europe and speciality business.

He said: "We added unique and important speciality chemicals to our product line when Thann became a Millennium plant at the beginning of the year. The new organisation will help us to serve specialities' customers better around the world."

Speciality products produced at the Millennium facility in Thann include titanium tetrachloride and zirconium dioxide.

Headquartered in Hunt Valley, Maryland, Millennium Inorganic Chemicals is a subsidiary of Millennium Chemicals.
