HOUSTON (CNI)--AlliedSignal began offering ultra-high purity hydrofluoric acid (HF) and other HF electronic chemicals Thursday as the result of a recently completed, multi-million dollar expansion at its HF production plant in Seelze, Germany.

Based in Morris Township, New Jersey, Allied said its high purity HF offering comes in response to a growing demand from the global semiconductor industry for high purity materials in integrated circuit device manufacturing. Sold under the name XLSI-Puranal, the products will complement Allied's line of products available through its electronic chemicals group.

Already the world's largest producer of HF, Allied supplies customers globally from facilities in Geismar, Louisiana; Amherstburg, Ontario, Canada; Weert, the Netherlands; and, Seelze.
