LONDON (CNI)--The European Commission has approved a new plastics recycling joint venture which includes DSM's subsidiary Reko.
The mechanical recycling joint venture will handle industrial and post-consumer used plastics, including high and low density polyethylenes, polypropylene, polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polycarbonates and polystyrene. The company is made up of Dutch municipal waste company Rova and waste collection, recycling and disposal company Hanze, plus Reko. Hanze is part of the Edon group.
