DEGUSSA CORPORATION has debuted Acematt HK 450, a flatting agent that offers a low gloss-to-sheen ratio and minimal viscosity build. The product has a larger average particle size of 10 microns and a unique particle size distribution, providing for greater flatting efficiency and surface smoothness in coil coatings and other industrial coatings, according to the company.

NUTECH CORPORATION has introduced a new water-dilutable foam control agent, Zerofome NS-37F. The product is a 100 percent active defoamer which can be used by the processing mill at much lower levels than conventional non-silicone based products, the company says. NuTech also calls the defoamer ideal for all textile wet-processing applications.

SOLUTIA INC. plans to display an expanded line of its Glacier brand metalworking fluids at the International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago, September 9-16. Among the new products is a fluid that can be used for machining aluminum and titanium parts. Solutia's Glacier fluids are designed for grinding, machining and forming ferrous and non-ferrous metals, the company says.
