Akzo Nobel is investing Dfl50m ($25m) in expanding membrane electrolysis capacity at its Rotterdam-Botlek site. This involves expanding chlorine capacity by 60 000 tonne to 350 000 tonne and caustic soda capacity by 70 000 tonne to 400 000 tonne.
