SINGAPORE (CNI)--Speciality chemicals and salt producer Morton International is expected shortly to begin commercial production, at its expanded facility here, of its proprietary Vithane synthetic leather coatings, primers and adhesives such as cold and hot seals, CNI learned Tuesday.
Those products will widen the company's range, which presently includes its solvent-based and solvent-free flexible packaging adhesives such as Adcote, Lamal and Mor-Free.
The Chicago-based US company recently completed expansion of the water-based polymers and dispersion facility in Tuas, southwestern Singapore, that it bought in 1997 from Zeneca Resins of the UK.
The expanded facility also provides technical services to Morton’s customers in Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
