HOUSTON (CNI)--Sterling Chemicals confirmed Tuesday that its Texas City, Texas ethylbenzene (EB) plant experienced an unplanned shutdown, apparently over the weekend.
Michael Noonan, spokesman for the Houston-based Sterling Chemicals, said Tuesday that additional information on the plant's shutdown will be available later. He said company officials are still gathering information about the shutdown.
The plant serves Sterling's styrene production facility.
