US Lime & Minerals Posts Mixed Q2 Results

United States Lime & Minerals Inc. had net income of $444,000 (11 cents per share) in the second quarter on revenues of $7.6 million. The company's results were down from last year's second quarter, when it posted net income of $1.06 million (27 cents per share) on revenues of $8 million.

For the six months that ended June 30, US Lime's net income totaled $902,000 (23 cents per share) on revenues of more than $14.5 million. The company had net income of $1.366 million (34 cents per share) on revenues of $14.485 million during the same period in 1998.

US Lime's operating profit margin for the first six months was 14.5 percent, up from 11.1 percent in the previous year.
