Biomira Changes Pact With Chiron

Biomira Inc., revising its collaboration with Chiron Corp., has signed an option agreement with Chiron permitting Biomira to reacquire all rights held by Chiron in relation to Theratope vaccine. Both companies plan to bring in a third party to participate in the development and commercialization of Theratope. To facilitate this, Chiron has agreed to sell its rights and obligations for Theratope back to Biomira.
