LONDON (CNI)--BP Amoco said Tuesday that the restart of its G4 Grangemouth, Scotland ethylene cracker would not go ahead now until 13-14 January.

A spokesman for the Anglo-American oil and chemicals giant said the 300 000 tonne/year cracker, due to be restarted by today, has now had all problems resolved. He added that the restart was delayed again to minimise the impact of flaring in the local community and perform last minute checks.
