HOUSTON (CNI)--Dow Chemical said Wednesday it will raise prices on styrene/butadiene (S/B) latex and solid plastic pigment products by $66.12/tonne (Euro68.16) for the paper industry effective 1 April in North America.

In making the price increase announcement, Dow's emulsion polymers business unit cited increased costs for styrene and butadiene monomers - the primary raw materials for S/B latex and solid plastic pigments.

Dow is headquartered in Midland, Michigan. The company's S/B latex and solid plastic pigment products are used in coatings for fine papers, publication papers and coated paperboard for packaging.
