Dow Chemical's plastics business has licensed three customers with the company's pultrusion process technology for the production of continuous fiber thermoplastic composites. The companies involved are Walkerton, Ind.-based Polygon Company; Sheboygan Falls, Wisc.-based Bemis Manufacturing Company; and Ontario, Canada-based Inline Fiberglass Ltd."Polygon, Bemis and Inline were each selected to approach a different market, with applications to expand the presence of Fulcrum technology in the marketplace," says Chris Edwards, business development manager for Dow.
The thermoplastic technology is marketed under the Fulcrum name.
