The Tokyo, Japan-based company said it is studying plans for a new unit to be operational by the beginning of 2004 in the US, with capacities of 150 000 tonne/year of methyl methacrylate (MMA) and 15 000 tonne/year of ester.
MRC also has plans to expand MMA capacity in China by 40% to 70 000 tonne/year.
