Air Liquide ExpandsAir Liquide Sante, the healthcare division of Rome-based industrial gas and services group Air Liquide, has purchased a 50 percent stake in Omasa SpA, an equipment sterilizing firm that is part-owned by Impreglio SpA. Terms were not made public.
Ashland Upgrades Site
The General Polymers Division of Ashland Specialty Chemical Company, has upgraded its electronic commerce site, GPezOrder, which is available at www.gpashland.com. The new site features multiple, customizable order templates, a searchable product catalog and access to purchase indirect or MRO materials.
Celanese Revamps Site
Celanese Acetate has relaunched its website (www.celaneseacetate.com). New features on the site include fashion and technical bulletins, a global fabric converter, knitter resource lists and the Celanese Acetate textile glossary.
Cloeren Moves HQ
Cloeren Inc. will expand and relocate its headquarters facility in Orange, Tex. The new HQ site nearly triples the size of the previous facility and will combine the company's engineering functions under one location.
FCI and TNO Team Up
FCI Environmental Inc., a subsidiary of DecisionLink Inc., is set to cooperate with a division of TNO, the Dutch research organization, to jointly develop and market sensor technology for sensors that will find oxygen contaminants that are affecting the food and beverage packaging industry.
F&F to Serve TSA
Fernley and Fernley Inc. will provide management services to the Tin Stabilizers Association (TSA), a newly formed group of major chemical corporations. TSA is a non-profit entity whose goal is to promote the use of tin stabilizers in polyvinyl chloride applications.
GE Acquires Matra
GE Plastics has acquired the polycarbonate extrusion assets of Matra Plast Industries Inc. of Long Sault, Ontario, Canada. Terms were not disclosed. The acquisition includes land, plant and equipment, inventory, intellectual property and other assets. The deal does not affect other Matra Plast entities, including Hi-Core Corrugated Polypropylene and Polyethylene, Berthierville, Quebec, Canada; KMP Plastics, Fullerton, Calif.; and Numatech Industries, Puslinch, Ontario, Canada.
Johnson Matthey Launch
Johnson Matthey's catalysts and chemicals division has relaunched its website at www.chemicals.matthey.com. Among the site's features is an interactive catalyst database and catalyst reaction guide and "one-stop" access to the company's products, services and safety specifications.
