HOUSTON (CNI)--Rohm and Haas (R&H)'s 360 000 tonne/year methyl methacrylate (MMA) monomer plant in Deer Park, Texas should be back on line 9 April following routine maintenance work, CNI learned Friday.
The facility was taken off line three weeks ago.
An official from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based R&H said: "All customers requirements have been met."
Officials noted that Atofina and R&H have agreed to increase the MMA monomer capacity at the facility by 115 000 tonne/year by 2002 to meet continued growth in its downstream acrylic polymer businesses and ongoing merchant market demand for MMA.
