Bachem, a peptide producer, reported an 8 percent drop in operating income to SFr 46 million last year. ELEMENTIS' shares fell steeply on the London stock market last week after its chairman Jonathan Fry told its annual meeting that an expected takeover offer is unlikely to reach the previous day's closing price. RAISIO's CEO Lasse Kurkilahti has resigned because of "irreconcilable differences" over the future strategy of the company. He is being replaced by Rabbe Klemets, executive vice-president of the company's Benecol division.
