Duales System Deutschland (DSD), the German umbrella organisation for the recycling of sales packaging, will fight the European Commission's decision to allow companies disposing of packaging themselves to withdraw from the DSD programme. The Commission said that parts of the green dot licence mark are incompatible with the single market and must be changed. However, Dual System Deutschland chief executive Wolfram Brück said that the decision was 'unrealistic'.
