LONDON (CNI)--BP has resumed full production from its two acetone plants at Hull in northeast England, a spokesman for the UK energy and chemicals company told CNI on Friday.
He confirmed that a technical problem connected with the steam systems had brought one of the plants down on Monday (30 April). The problem also had some impact on the second plant.
"We operated at reduced rates on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week due to technical problems associated with the steam systems," he explained.
Both plants were back up on Thursday and production is now back to normal, he confirmed.
The plants have a combined production capacity of 65 000 tonne/year.
