Kaufman Buys AtoFina's Canadian Lubricants Business

Kaufman Hwoldings Corp. has bought the specialty industrial lubricants business of AtoFina Canada, a subsidiary of AtoFina Chemicals Inc. The acquired specialty industrial lubricants business will operate as Anderol Canada Inc. under Kaufman Holdings' Anderol Group. "This acquisition is a good fit for us as we continue the worldwide dynamic growth of our specialty lubricant businesses," says Alex Kaufman, chairman of Kaufman Holdings.

"These industrial lubricants strongly complement the broad offering of products and services from our other Kaufman Holdings companies, Royal Lubricants Inc. and Anderol," Mr. Kaufman adds. AtoFina Canada began operations in Oakville, Ontario, in 1958 under the Pennwalt name. A Kaufman spokesperson says the deal only involves operations at the Oak-ville site.
