Bayer, BI Standardize On Siebel Bayer and Boehringer-Ingelheim (Canada) Ltd. have standardized using Siebel Systems Inc.'s e-business applications. Bayer is using Siebel ePharma, Siebel Sales and Siebel eConsumer Goods to coordinate and manage customer interactions across multiple channels. BI is using Siebel ePharma, a suite of multichannel applications. AspenTech, ICI Paints in E-Procurement ICI Paints has selected Aspen Technology Inc.'s Aspen Buy private e-procurement solution to source raw materials via the Internet for its US operations. The buy-side marketplace solution is designed specifically for direct materials procurement. webMethods Launches Partner Connect webMethods Inc., a provider of integration software, has launched webMethods Partner Connect, a service for connecting partners to a trading network to be used in conjunction with the webMethods integration platform. SAP Teams with Shell SAP AG and SAPMarkets Inc., the exchange company of the SAP group, report that the Royal Dutch/Shell Group has selected solutions from SAPMarkets for use in the Shell globally integrated e-procurement system. Shell, SAPMarkets and SAP AG will also work together on a strategic development project for master data synchronization of Shell's heterogeneous back-end systems. J.D. Edwards Affirms CRM Strategy J.D. Edwards chairman, president and CEO Ed McVaney affirmed the company's need for an integrated customer relationship management (CRM) solution as part of its mid-enterprise strategy, but emphasizes that it is not dissolving its relationship with Siebel. The company says it will continue with its plans to deliver its second integration of J.D.
