vessels up to 5000 tonne can be loaded or unloaded
Government incentives: Investments on Teesside are
eligible to apply for a capital grant which will be assessed on the
basis of the quality of the investment and its benefits to the
local economy, the resulting development of skills, R&D
expenditure etc
Land available: 101 hectares

Dow Chemicals, Huntsman Petrochemicals, Huntsman Tioxide, Seal
Sands Chemicals.
Products include: Over 300 distinct chemicals
are produced on Teesside all of which can be made available on Seal
Sands. Others can be imported by road/rail or via two chemical
storage terminals
Feedstocks: ethane, ethylene, propane, propylene,
butane, gas, condensates and naphtha are potentially
available
Infrastructure: electricity, gas, water, nitrogen/
oxygen available by pipeline, major effluent treatment plant
operated by Northumbrian Water. The site is linked by pipeline to
Wilton and Billingham and to two storage terminals. Storage of 250
tanks ranging from 50 to 8500 tonne capacity. Site is close to the
national motorway system. The site is maintained by the Tees and
Hartlepool Port Authority and the costs are allocated to companies
in proportion to their usage
