HOUSTON (CNI)--Praxair announced a 20% increase Thursday for carbon dioxide (CO2) to merchant customers in the US effective 12 September or as contracts permit.
The Danbury, Connecticut company cited a need to improve CO2 supply system reliability as a reason for the increase and noted: "These actions include supply and demand optimisation, providing additional rail and truck capabilities and increasing capacity at several key production facilities."
