HOUSTON (CNI)--Eastman Chemical announced a price increase Friday of $66.12/tonne (Euro73.47/tonne) for its oxo alcohols effective 1 October in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Africa citing the impact of increased raw material costs as a factor.

Specifically, the Kingsport, Tennessee company is raising the off-list prices for isobutyl and n-butyl alcohol, 2-ethylhexanol and n-butyraldehyde.

The company provided no information noting the percentage of the increase.
