New software for Firmenich

Swiss fragrance and flavours producer Firmenich is to use Demantra's demand management software to improve its logistics operation.
Firmenich says its use of the software will 'slash inventories by 10% and cut transportation unit costs by 80%'.
The company will move 50%, rising to 80%, of its transportation from air to sea. This will result in cutting costs from $3/unit to $0.5/unit.
