Huntsman, A Schulman in European TPU distribution alliance

LONDON (CNI)--US-based Huntsman Polyurethanes and US high performance plastic compounds and resins supplier A Schulman announced on Tuesday a strategic alliance to distribute thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPUs) for injection moulding applications in key European markets.

Under the terms of the agreement, which takes effect from 1 December 2001, A Schulman will distribute Huntsman's Irogran TPU products in Germany, Poland and the UK. A. Schulman will also provide technical and commercial service to Huntsman's existing customers.

A Schulman general manager Otto Bruder said: "Through this alliance we are able to expand our range of products and services and consolidate our position as the partner of choice for many moulders who have problems to solve."
