LONDON (CNI)--Huntsman International is to lose 100 workers in its global titanium dioxide (TiO2) operations during 2002 and 2003, according to chief executive Peter Huntsman.

The proposed job cuts, out of a total global TiO2 workforce of 3000, were revealed in an exclusive interview with CNI's sister magazine European Chemical News.

He said the losses are linked to the introduction of an automated invoicing system and other streamlining measures.
