LONDON (CNI)--Basell, the 50:50 polyolefins joint venture between BASF and Shell, said on Friday its low density polyethylene (ldPE) plant in Aubette, southern France is expected to be back in operation early next week.
A spokesman confirmed to CNI that the approximately 320 000 tonne/year capacity plant was shut down earlier in the week.
However, reports that Basell shut the ldPE plant as a safety measure after technical issues related to the pressure arose could not be immediately confirmed.
