BTX Benzene prices are on the rise despite falling energy costs. March contracts were reportedly done at 91.5c. per gallon, while second quarter quotes were heard at 94c. to 95c. Toluene pricing has climbed slightly to 82c. to 83c. per gallon. The xylenes market continues to be quiet with very few deals being completed. Analysts estimate the March price for mixed xylenes to be in the range of 90c. to 92c. per gallon.
