Basell delays Tarragona, Spain PP plant start-up until June

LONDON (CNI)--Basell has delayed the commissioning of its new polypropylene (PP) plant in Tarragona, Spain by up to two months, a spokesman for the European polyolefins producer told CNI on Monday.

Commissioning of the 225 000 tonne/year plant had been scheduled to commence in April but is now expected to start in early June because testing of the pressure vessels has taken longer than expected, he said.
