Wellman completes sale of N Carolina yarn business

HOUSTON (CNI)--Polyester producer Wellman completed the planned sale of its partially oriented yarn business Tuesday to a newly created company called Cedar Creek Fibers in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Wellman first announced the sale in May, calling it the transfer of its polyester filament yarn operations in Fayetteville.
Terms of the transaction remain undisclosed.
Wellman is headquartered in Shrewsbury, New Jersey.
